The Atascadero man was driving a car on Highway 99 when he collided with another car

Bakersfield, Calif. – 43-year-old Victor Smith, of Atascadero, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a car crash earlier this month in Bakersfield.
The fatal collision happened around 3:25 a.m. on January 3, on Highway 99 just south of Highway 119.
The California Highway Patrol said Smith was driving a car on the highway when he collided with another car.
Smith was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
