2 Hospitalized after Victorville Car Crash on Highway 395 near Bear Valley Road
Victorville, California (December 31, 2021) – A Thursday night head-on crash on Highway 395 in Victorville left two people with critical injuries, as per a local news source.
The accident involved two cars and happened just before 9:30 p.m., north of Bear Valley Road.
A gray Dodge Charger and a white older model Chevy Silverado pickup truck collided head-on under unclear circumstances.
Victorville City firefighters were among the first responders and found two people with critical injuries. The firefighters requested helicopters to respond to the scene and airlift the patients to the hospital. Four helicopters declined the request due to harsh weather in the area at the time. The patients were transported by ground ambulances in unknown conditions.
At the time of the report, investigators were still trying to determine the cause of the accident.
The investigators closed Highway 395 in both directions between Bear Valley Road and Luna Road as they worked the scene.
Victorville Police Department is investigating the incident.
