Victorville, Calif. – An 18-year-old girl was killed and three other people injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision in Big Bear Lake on Tuesday, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The deadly crash happened at about 6:13 p.m. on January 16 on Big Bear Boulevard, east of Stanfield Cutoff.
According to the Sheriff's Department, a beige Nissan and a black Lexus were involved in the crash. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Big Bear Boulevard when they collided.
The driver of the Lexus sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The passenger of the Lexus, an 18-year-old girl, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Nissan and their passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Bear Valley Community Hospital. The two were later released.
No additional details were provided. The crash remains under investigation.
