Vincent Verzosa Killed in Santa Rosa Accident on Highway 12 near Nuns Canyon Road
Santa Rosa, California (September 8, 2022) – The man who was killed in a head-on collision in Santa Rosa on Monday afternoon has been identified as Vincent Verzosa, 64, of Santa Rosa, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.
The deadly wreck occurred on Highway 12, just east of Nuns Canyon Road at around 2:30 p.m. on September 5.
According to the authorities, Verzosa was driving a Subaru Outback on the highway when he collided head-on with an oncoming driver that swerved into his path.
The impact caused the Outback to overturn and Verzosa died at the scene of the accident.
A passenger in the Outback and the driver of the Mercedes were hospitalized with major injuries.
An investigation into the Santa Rosa crash is ongoing.
