Phoenix, AZ – A woman was killed and three other people were hospitalized following a crash in Phoenix on Saturday evening.
Phoenix police identified the victim as 72-year-old Virginia Delgado Vasquez.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:45 p.m. on June 14 near 35th and Glendale avenues.
Authorities said two cars collided and one of the drivers, later identified as Virginia Vasquez, suffered critical injuries. She was rushed to the hospital where she died.
Two children and one adult were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators say failure to yield to the right-of-way of northbound traffic is a major factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
