1 Killed in Wasco Crash at Wildwood Road and Sherwood Avenue

Wasco, California (September 10, 2021) – One person was killed Friday morning in a traffic collision involving a car and two semi-trucks at an intersection near Wasco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash occurred at around 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of Wildwood Road and Sherwood Avenue.
CHP said a Mazda coupe and the trucks collided under unclear circumstances at the intersection.
One person, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, died in the crash.
One of the trucks hauling pistachios spilled its load onto the roadway.
The crash prompted the authorities to temporarily close the roadway.
