Lynnwood, WA – A Washington State Patrol Trooper was injured in a collision that happened near Lynnwood on Monday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident happened on Interstate 5 near 44th Avenue West.
Authorities said the trooper was parked on the right shoulder of I-5 when the patrol vehicle, which had its driving lights activated, was hit by a suspected DUI driver.
Both the trooper and the suspect sustained minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of I-5 were shut down as authorities investigated the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
