Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Interstate 405 Crash near Edinger Avenue in Westminster
Westminster, California (September 26, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating an Interstate 405 crash that happened Saturday evening, leaving one person with serious injuries.
The Westminster motorcycle accident was reported at about 8:17 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the freeway, just south of Edinger Avenue.
Police and firefighters in Westminster responded to the scene and closed the Edinger Avenue on-ramp to southbound Interstate 405.
A driver of a silver Lexus told authorities that the motorcycle hit his car after it allegedly went across traffic lanes.
The motorcyclist sustained major injuries in the accident. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to take the patient to the hospital.
Authorities will determine the factors that may have contributed to the crash when they conclude their investigation.
