, Ariz. – A man was fatally hit by a vehicle in Tucson early Saturday morning, according to the  Tucson Police Department.

The crash took place on Ajo Way and South Fair Avenue at about 4 a.m. January 6.

Police said a man in a wheelchair was trying to cross the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle.

The victim was killed in the accident.

The driver stayed at the scene and was not suspected of DUI.

The Tucson Police Department is investigating the crash.
