William Merinko Killed in Collision at Sunrise Way and Tachevah Drive in Palm Springs
Palm Springs, California (October 13, 2021) – 67-year-old William Merinko was killed in a car crash in Palm Springs on Tuesday night, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.
The collision happened at Sunrise Way and East Tachevah Drive at about 10:20 p.m., October 12.
The California Highway Patrol established that Merinko was driving a car that collided with another vehicle in unclear circumstances. Merinko was ejected from the vehicle following the collision.
Merinko was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning.

The driver of the second vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
Although a CHP investigation into the accident is ongoing, the officers said alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a contributing factor.
