William Platte Injured in Highway 101 Crash near Los Alamos

Los Alamos, California (March 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a wrong-way collision on Tuesday night near Los Alamos, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported on Highway 101 just before 8 p.m. March 8.
Authorities said Christopher Moreno, 32, was driving a semi-truck southbound in the northbound side of Highway 101 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota operated by William Platte, 44, of Los Osos.

Platte was extricated from the Toyota and was taken to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara with major injuries.
Moreno and his passenger sustained moderate injuries.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
