73-Year-Old William Summers ID'd as Motorcyclist Killed in Interstate 5 Crash near Highway 166 in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California (November 23, 2021) – The motorcyclist who died Friday in a traffic crash in Bakersfield has been identified as William Alan Summers, 73, of Highland, according to the Kern County Coroner's Bureau.
The deadly crash took place on northbound Interstate 5 on-ramp from Highway 166 on Friday, November 19.
Authorities said Summers was riding his motorcycle northbound on Interstate 5 on-ramp when, for unknown reasons, he slammed into a semitrailer.
Victim in Interstate 5 Accident Identified as Highland Man
Summers was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no details about the driver of the semitrailer.
The crash remains under investigation.
