, California (November 23, 2021) – The motorcyclist who died Friday in a traffic crash in Bakersfield has been identified as William Alan Summers, 73, of , according to the Kern County Coroner's Bureau.

The deadly crash took place on northbound on-ramp from Highway 166 on Friday, November 19.

Authorities said Summers was riding his motorcycle northbound on Interstate 5 on-ramp when, for unknown reasons, he slammed into a semitrailer.
