1 Severely Hurt in 5 Freeway Big Rig Crash near County Road 68 Off-Ramp in Willows
Willows, California (March 29, 2022) – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a big rig crash that happened Monday evening near Willows, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at around 5:48 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway, near the County Road 68 off-ramp.
A big rig and a Dodge pickup truck were involved in the collision.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and requested a helicopter to airlift a female party who was severely injured. Flight Care responded and transported the patient to Enloe Medical Center.
Investigators are collecting more information to establish the cause of the crash.
