According to fire officials, two SUVs collided in the area and one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles

Phoenix, AZ.- A woman and three children were injured in a two-vehicle collision in downtown Phoenix on Friday morning, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
The incident took place on 7th and Van Buren streets at about 8:15 a.m.
According to fire officials, two SUVs collided in the area and one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.
A woman and three children were taken to hospital with critical injuries.
One of the SUVs had damage to its front-end while the other was damaged on its passenger side.
The Phoenix Police Department is working to determine what led up to the accident.
