Goodyear, AZ.- A woman was hospitalized with critical injuries after a collision that happened in Goodyear early Saturday morning, according to the Goodyear Police Department.
The incident took place on Interstate 10, near 91st Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. May 24.
According to the report, multiple vehicles collided in the area and one of them burst into flames.
A woman trapped in the burning vehicle was rescued by a Goodyear police officer
The woman was rushed to a burn centre with critical injuries and was expected to recover.
The officer was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
