Bakersfield, Calif. – A woman was struck and critically injured by a Hit-and-Run driver in Southwest Bakersfield Sunday evening.
According to a police report, the auto-pedestrian crash happened at around 6:32 p.m. February 25 in the 8500 block of Wible Road.
Police say the driver of the unidentified car was traveling south when they hit the woman who was walking in the southbound lanes.
The woman suffered major injuries and was said to be in critical condition.
The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
Speed was not believed to be a factor in the wreck.
