Lancaster, Calif. – A woman was killed after an SUV ran a red light and collided with another vehicle in Lancaster Saturday morning, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The fatal accident happened at 9:42 a.m. on March 16 at the intersection of Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East.
Accoording to the Sheriff's Department, a preliminary investigation revealed that a woman was driving a Mitsubishi Outlander southon 20th Street East when she ran a red light and collided with a westbound Infiniti G35 on Avenue J-8.
Reportedly, the impact caused a female passenger in the Infiniti to be partially ejected and others in the car were trapped.
The ejected passenger was transported to a hospital where she was declared deceased.
The incident remains under investigation.
