Santa Monica, Calif. – A woman in her 50s died after being hit while pushing a cart in Santa Monica early Saturday morning.
The fatal collision happened in the 2900 block of Lincoln Boulevard at around 1:50 a.m.
The woman was pushing a cart when she was struck by a southbound vehicle.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with the authorities.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
