Woman Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on Market Street

San Diego, California (April 8, 2022) – A woman was hit and injured by a vehicle after she stepped out of an Uber in San Diego's Gaslamp District on Thursday night, San Diego police said.
The accident occurred in the 500 block of Market Street at around 9:10 p.m. April 7.
Police said the woman was in the sedan that stopped in the westbound No. 2 lane of Market Street.
A Chevrolet Suburban parked on the north curb pulled out and struck the woman as she exited the sedan.
Woman Hospitalized after San Diego Pedestrian Crash
The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police said drunk driving was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The crash remained under investigation.
