San Diego, CA.- An e-bike rider was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in the Talmadge neighborhood of San Diego on Saturday afternoon, the San Diego Police Department reported.
The crash happened at about 12:40 p.m. on Fairmount Avenue and Montezuma Road.
According to the police, a 54-year-old woman was riding an e-bike northbound on Fairmount Avenue in the bike lane when she entered the roadway and hit the driver-side mirror of a vehicle.
The woman sustained a fractured wrist and a fractured hip.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The 66-year-old man driving the vehicle was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
