Lake Isabella woman killed in Highway 58 car accident in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA. – A woman died after crashing into a pickup truck in Bakersfield on Thursday afternoon.
The fatal collision happened around 12:19 p.m. on Highway 58 near Washington Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An 85-year-old woman was driving a car westbound on Highway 58 when she lost control and crashed into the back of a pickup truck stopped on the right hand shoulder.
The Lake Isabella woman was killed in the accident
A man inside the stopped pickup truck suffered minor injuries in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
