
Colton, Calif. – The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has released the name of a woman who died after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in Colton on Wednesday, December 6.
Rosie Pina, 49, of Fontana was hit by a passing vehicle at about 7:29 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6 in the area of South Mt. Vernon Ave. at Centrepointe Drive in Colton.
Colton Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene and transported Pina to a local hospital. Unfortunately, Pina later died in the emergency department of the hospital.
The Colton Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
