The woman was ejected from the SUV and was transported to an area hospital where she died while receiving treatment

Fresno, CA. – A woman was killed in a car crash that left another injured early Monday morning in central Fresno.
The 12:30 a.m. accident happened in the area of Chestnut and University avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white truck was reportedly traveling north on Chestnut when it collided with an SUV that was turning onto Chestnut.
Two women were in the SUV and one was ejected. She was transported to an area hospital where she died while receiving treatment.
The second woman was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the second car attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended and taken into custody.
