79-Year-Old Woman Killed in Wilton Car Accident on Dillard Road
Wilton, California (July 25, 2022) – A woman was killed in a head-on collision that occurred in Wilton on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Dillard Road on Sunday, July 24.
According to CHP, the 79-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla west on Dillard Road when she drifted off the right side of the road.
The woman then overcorrected and swerved into the eastbound side, where she collided head-on with a Hyundai.
First responders helped the drivers out of their vehicles after they were trapped.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced deceased at Kaiser South Hospital.
There was no update on the condition of the driver of the Hyundai and a 12-year-old passenger in the car, who was able to get out.
DUI and speed were not suspected to be involved in the accident.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
