According to the report, a 20-year-old Clovis man was driving a Toyota Tundra on Shields Avenue when he struck a woman who walked into the roadway

Fresno County, CA.- A woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Fresno County on Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly incident took place in the area of Shields and De Wolf avenues shortly before 9:45 p.m. June 23.
According to the report, a 20-year-old Clovis man was driving a Toyota Tundra on Shields Avenue when he struck a woman who walked into the roadway.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on the victim at the scene but she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
