San Marcos, Calif.- A 66-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in San Marcos on Thursday evening, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said.
The crash occurred on West Mission Road and North Las Posas Road at about 7:43 p.m. January 19.
According to the report, the woman was walking northbound in the crosswalk when she was hit by a grey Toyota Tacoma traveling west on Mission Road.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver, a 61-year-old man, stayed at the scene after the collision.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
