The deadly accident happened around 12:08 a.m., July 5, on Peppermint Circle west of Peppermint Lane

Tuolumne County, CA – A 54-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning in a car accident in Peppermint Creek, Tuolumne County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident happened around 12:08 a.m., July 5, on Peppermint Circle west of Peppermint Lane.
CHP said Jack Jensen, 61, of Sonora, was driving a pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle during a turn, drove off the roadway and hit two trees. He then attempted to reverse and struck a wooden utility pole.
A woman in the passenger seat was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
Jensen was determined to have been driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked into the Tuolumne County jail on felony charges.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
