Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car on Highway 101 near Solimar Beach in Ventura
Ventura County, California (August 11, 2022) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in Ventura on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 101 south of Solimar Beach at around 9:20 a.m.
A woman was in a bike lane when a vehicle veered to the right and struck her at a high rate of speed.
The unidentified woman was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
