Palmdale, CA – A woman and a toddler were killed early Thursday morning in a fiery rollover collision in Palmdale, according to the CHP.
The fatal collision happened around 2:12 a.m. on July 17 on 30th Street West south of Avenue N.
CHP said a 25-year-old woman was driving a 2010 Infiniti northbound when she veered off the roadway and the front right wheel of her car hit a drainage culvert, causing the car to overturn and catch fire. It then hit a curb and a light pole, became it came to a rest.
The responding firefighters put out the fire, which had fully engulfed the car. The woman and her 3-year-old passenger were killed in the accident. Their names have not been released.
The collision closed a stretch of 30th Street West.
