Man Killed in Benicia Work Accident at Valero Refinery along E. Second Street
Benicia, California (November 14, 2021) – A worker was killed in an apparent fall at the Valero refinery in Benicia on Friday night, according to a local news source.
The incident was reported at around 10:30 p.m. on November 12, at the refinery, which is located at 3400 E. Second Street.
The man reportedly fell nearly six stories. Emergency personnel responded to the scene to help the man.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving measures performed by the emergency responders. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The Cal/OSHA is investigating to determine the exact cause of the deadly incident.
