, CA – The Department of Medical Examiner's Office identified the man who died Monday afternoon at a construction site in Bel Air as 42-year-old Tony Gallegos.

The accident took place around 1 p.m. in the 900 block of North Moraga Drive.

Crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene and found the worker trapped underneath a forklift that had toppled over while carrying steel rebar at the construction site.

Medical intervention failed, and Gallegos was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Cal-OSHA is investigating the accident.

Los Angeles, CA. – A construction worker died in an accident that happened near Bel Air in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened around 1:27 p.m. on 970 N Moraga Drive, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

An adult male operator of a forklift was carrying steel rebar at a construction site when the machinery toppled.

The man was trapped beneath the forklift.

LAFD personnel arrived at the scene and attempted to rescue the unidentified man.

Authorities say the man proved beyond medical help and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

More details about the accident were not released.
