Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified an 8-year-old boy who was killed in a Thursday evening multi-vehicle collision near Azusa as Xavier Ocegueda of La Puente.
The accident happened at about 5:10 p.m. at State Route 39 and East Fork Road.
According to a report, California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene and located a black SUV and a gray Honda Accord blocking several lanes of the highway.
Xavier was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
Several other people were transported to with unknwon injuries.

Los Angeles, CA – At least one person died in a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Thursday evening in Azusa.
According to the Azusa Police Department, the accident happened around 5 p.m. on Highway 39 near East Fork Road.
Two vehicles, possibly an SUV and a sedan, were involved in the collision. The events leading up to the collision were not immediately determined.
At least one person was killed in the collision.
