One Person Seriously Injured in Yuba City Crash on Highway 99 and Sacramento Avenue
Yuba City, California (November 23, 2021) – One person was airlifted to a hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Yuba City, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at around 2:43 p.m. on Highway 99 and Sacramento Avenue.
According to the CHP, two white vehicles collided on the southbound side of Highway 99 at Sacramento Avenue.
After the impact, one of the involved vehicles veered off the roadway and came to rest in a ditch.
A Good Samaritan stopped at the crash site and used their car to block traffic from colliding with the involved vehicles.
Major Injury Traffic Collision in Yuba City
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and extricated one person who was trapped in their damaged vehicle. One patient, whose name was not immediately disclosed, was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
Two tow trucks were dispatched to the crash site to remove the two vehicles, which were heavily damaged in the collision.
Authorities blocked several lanes while the investigation and cleanup took place.
