Rosamond, Calif. – 17-year-old Zach Blackledge and 25-year-old Alanah Cole, both from Rosamond, were hospitalized after being injured in a collision at an intersection in Rosamond on Saturday night.

The accident occurred at around 11:25 p.m. at Rosamond Boulevard and 40th Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two cars were involved in the collision, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately determined.

Blackledge suffered major injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.

Cole sustained minor injuries

Police say one of the drivers was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
