Sacramento, CA.- A bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run collision that happened in Sacramento earlier this month, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on 24th Street and Fruitridge Road at about 9:30 a.m. on May 5.
According to the report, a driver fled the scene after hitting a man riding a bike in the area.
The bicyclist was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on May 13.
The rider was identified as Zhen Cheng Kuang, 76, of Sacramento, according to the Sacramento County Coroner's Office.
Authorities later identified and arrested a suspect in connection with the incident.
Lamont Jackson, 29, of Sacramento, was booked into the county jail on charges relating the the hit-and-run incident.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
